A light renovation has turned a century-old townhouse into one of the city’s most economical hostels. If you choose the cheapest option of a dormitory room, you’ll sleep just as the original owners would have - with futons on rush mat floors - although with half a dozen strangers as company. The young, English-speaking owners have created a cosy, friendly place to crash.
