Earth Music Exhibition

Fri Nov 21, 2014 - Sun Mar 1, 2015 Mujirushi Ryohin Atelier Muji

Time Out says

Ever wondered what that oh-so-smooth, supremely relaxing music always playing in the background at no-brand giant Muji's stores is? This exhibit, held at their flagship Yurakucho shop, looks at how 'Muji music' itself has become something of a brand, with regular releases of 'BGM' records and collaborative ventures with folk musicians. On until March 2015, the display also recounts the three-decade history of Muji's musical enterprises and features talks with creatives like photographer Naoki Ishikawa and Mayumi Tsuruoka, an expert on Celtic art and literature.
